Cameron

Our first Christmas in Cameron

I haven't written in almost 8 years! So much has changed yet stayed the same. In November of 2015 we moved to the beautiful small county seat of Milam County, Texas. We love it here! From November 2015- May 2022 The Husband worked as one of the assistant district and county attorneys. He now works as an assistant city attorney for the City of Temple.

The kids have grown so much Baby Girl will be in high school next year she runs cross country and plays percussion in the band. Little Man is still a daredevil he loves baseball, football, and climbing. They are both in the gifted and talented program, Baby Girl is a member of NJHS, and Little Man was on the chess and number sense team for UIL.

From January 2019-September2021 I worked at a local dental office. In 2020 I had a miscarriage and was completely devastated it has taken awhile but I feel okay now. In 2021 I started Bluebonnet Bubbles and Sunshine Suds (a soap company) and became a life insurance agent!

Barbie T-Shirts

The Princess wanted more Barbie clothes, and I had some old t-shirts I needed to do something with so we made Barbie t-shirts. I took a lot of pictures so I could make a tutorial. So here goes my first tutorial.

First you'll need to get your supplies together. An old t-shirt, a Barbie, a crayon (or something to draw on the shirt with), a needle, and some thread. Then you will lay the shirt on a flat surface.

Place the Barbie on  the shirt.

Then trace each side give about two centimeters seam allowance

Next trace her shoulders giving two centimeters seam allowance. Move the Barbie from the shirt.

After you move the Barbie make sure your lines are dark enough for you to see them.

It should look something like this.

Then sew along the lines.

Tie a knot at the beginning and end of each line.

Then cut along the lines.

When you are done cutting it should look something like this. After you cut along the line cut a semi circle at the neck. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of this step. Then turn the shirt right side out, and viola you have a Barbie t-shirt.

Dental Assistant School

So a few of my fb friends are wondering how I even got started with Dental Assistant School. Anyway this is how it happened since the beging of the year I have been looking for work. I wanted to do something with childcare so I could bring Lilly with me and since I have so much experience working with children, but none of the places I went hired me. So I started praying about what I should do and I had a strong erge that I should do something in the dental field which is funny considering how bad my teeth are were.

Then about a week later I called my 3rd eldest sister and we were talking about jobs and how frustrated I was that I couldn't find anything and then I told her that I was thinking about becoming a dental hygenist but the classes took to long and I need to find something fast because I really need to get out of my in-laws house. Anyway my sister told me that her friend how is a dental assistant was going to be teaching a 10 week Saturday only class starting April 2, this was mid-March so I was thinking it was to late to get in but I did!

So far I'm doing pretty well I have made 93's on both tests so far, and aced my homework (eventhough they haven't taken it up). I really enjoy the lab section and all the "hands-on" training. Last week my group took x-rays the week before that we took molds of our teeth its a lot of fun. Its kinda funny I can't look at a person's mouth with out thinking in dental terms.

In lecture the second week I got told to "give the other students a chance to answer." But they didn't know the answer or didn't want to answer so I answered. I feel like the other students think I'm trying to show off, but really I'm just excited that I actually know the answer, I don't always feel smart so its a big self-esteem boost to know something.

Anyway I really love school and I'm so happy to be learning something new it is oddly so much fun, I mean really who would of thought I would enjoy sticking my fingers in other people's mouths?!

Froberg's Farm

We had a wonderful afternoom strawberry picking at Froberg's Farm. The weather was great! We picked 15 pounds of strawberries. Froberg's is in Alvin, TX it is open from 9am till 6pm everyday except holidays.

Lilly wouldn't let go of the basket, not even when it got full and weighed 5 pounds!

One half full basket of strawberries!

I love this tree!

Go Jimmer, and The Rest of the BYU team!

"You ask, What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival." Winston Churchill
My family will definately be watching the game today! Maybe I can even get Lilly to say "Go Jimmer!" again.
